Your new spelling words went home today. They are very tricky so make sure you study them. Also make sure you know what they mean! You have to have 5 sentences done for Wednesday so you may want to give an example of what each one is.

Last week's spelling/math quiz went home today. Have your parents sign the test and return it tomorrow with any spelling corrections written out three times each. Make your math corrections too. Most everyone got 4/4 on the Math quiz! Way to go! Please bring in your wrapped Secret Sanata gift. Tell your parents about the book 'The Rough Faced Girl'. What was the moral/message of this story? What fairy tale was it modelled after? What were the similarities and differences? Page 70 in JUMP math is due for tomorrow. Try to find a picture or a card so we can do that art activity I was telling you about! Only one more week left to go before it's Christmas (Winter) Break. I wish we could have a break from this winter weather already!
Tell your parents which planet you have chosen to research. That planet research project will be coming up sooner than you think! Look for details in the coming week because I expect your projects to be "out of this world!" On Monday, you can stealthfully bring in your Secret Santa gift and either give it to me to put it under the tree or if you think you can go undetected, you can place it under the tree yourself.Make sure you put who the gift is going to on the gift! See if you can find a Christmas card to bring in on Monday, or a card of any sort. We need it for an Art assignment I want to do next week. Have a great weekend and stay warm! Baby it's cold outside! Make sure you dress warmly! Lucky for you and me that we get indoor recess and lunch recess. If you have any games that you would like to bring in to play during these cold indoor recesses, you're welcome to bring them in!
Thanks to those students who handed in their 10 spelling sentences. It was due today but I'm extending it until tomorrow for those of you who "forgot". You're welcome! Also, page 69 is homework in JUMP math. Have it done as we will be correcting that page tomorrow. There will be a test on everything that we've been working on! Show me your Moon Phase chart tomorrow for a mark! STAY WARM! Hey boys and girls! I hope you had fun with buddies today. I know I did!
Remember to bring in your moon phase chart so I can see that you are tracking properly! By Wednesday the moon will be a waxing (getting bigger) half moon. In your agenda you have written this weeks words in alphabetical order and you need to write a complete sentence for each of the ten English words on the list in your writer's notebook. Get creative! I extended it until tomorrow, so, last chance for Fun Lunch orders and Dec. book orders. I will be submitting them tomorrow. Congratulations boys and girls on an outstanding Christmas concert performance. You sounded beautiful and I got chills when the entire division two sang the finale song! Your parents must be very proud of you, I know I am!
